Pas de podium, de costumes ou de cérémonie cette année pour les NFL Awards. C’est en visioconférence, un bonnet sur la tête, qu’Aaron Rodgers a accepté le troisième titre de MVP de sa carrière.
Il n’y avait pas vraiment de suspense tant que le quarterback des Packers a évolué à un niveau stratosphérique avec les Packers cette saison. Avec 48 touchdowns pour seulement 5 interceptions, il a mené les Packers au meilleur bilan de la NFC. Du côté de Green Bay, il égale Brett Favre au nombre de titres de meilleur joueur de la saison.
C’est du côté des autres prix qu’il y avait plus de suspense. Kevin Stefanski (Browns) est le coach de l’année, tandis qu’Aaron Donald (Rams) et Derrick Henry (Titans) sont respectivement les joueurs défensifs et offensifs de l’année. T.J. Watt devra attendre encore un peu.
Sans surprise, Alex Smith est honoré pour son retour incroyable.
